Prenatal diagnosis is a set of various tests carried out during pregnancy. Its purpose is to identify the risk of genetic defects, congenital fetal disorders and certain diseases. Early detection of potential problems gives the opportunity to undertake appropriate treatment. There are two main categories of prenatal diagnostic methods: non-invasive and invasive.
Gynaecology and obstetrics specialists at the Health Med clinic specialize in modern prenatal diagnostics. Our facility offers non-invasive prenatal tests carried out by certified doctors in accordance with the international standards of FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation), ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology) and PTGiP (Polish Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians).
We use high-quality, state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, and the imaging documentation from the entire pregnancy period is analyzed in detail to assess the proper development of the fetus. We invite both women who are pregnant in our clinic and outside of it. The convenient location at 185/S1 Ślężna Street in Wrocław allows convenient access both by tram and other means of transport. You can make an appointment for the test online or by phone. We invite you to familiarize yourself with our offer and take advantage of our services.
Non-invasive methods of prenatal diagnosis, such as pregnancy blood tests and ultrasound examinations (prenatal ultrasound), are carried out without the need to interfere with the fetal environment. On the other hand, invasive tests, which require the collection of amniotic fluid, for example, involve more direct interventions. At our HealthyMed gynecological clinic, we specialize in non-invasive methods of prenatal diagnosis.
Our tests are carried out with the highest standards to ensure comprehensive care for pregnant patients. We have made sure that our prenatal diagnostics offer is comprehensive and tailored to the individual needs of each expectant woman. We invite you to familiarize yourself with our services and take advantage of professional medical care during pregnancy.

Important information
I. Prenatal tests should be performed in specific weeks of pregnancy, in accordance with the recommendations of the Polish Society of Gynecology and Gynecology.
The first test, i.e. a genetic ultrasound with a blood test – PAPP-A+ B-HCG free, should be performed between 11+1 and 14+1 weeks of pregnancy.
Subsequent examinations should be carried out between 18 and 22 weeks and between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy.
II. According to the guidelines of the Polish Society of Pregnancy and Pregnancy, ultrasound examinations in the first, second and third trimester are a mandatory element of pregnancy management.
III. This is important for the safety of both the pregnant woman and her baby. It should be remembered that failure to perform prenatal tests does not result in legal consequences.
Genetic ultrasound only determines the risk of genetic diseases, not the disease itself. In the case of alarming ultrasound results, it is necessary to refer the patient for more invasive prenatal tests.
Take care of your and your baby’s health by performing regular prenatal tests according to the recommendations of specialists. Proper pregnancy monitoring will allow you to quickly identify any problems and take appropriate steps to ensure the health and safety of mother and baby.
